What is a Mammal?
Mammals are warm-blooded vertebrates. They are covered in hair or fur, breathe air with lungs, and almost all give birth to live young, which they feed with milk from mammary glands. This combination of traits lets mammals live in nearly every habitat on Earth, from deserts and mountains to forests and open water.
